PREFACE

Submitting your idea - or request - does not guarantee approval. It will be reviewed, and responded to via e-mail in 2-5 working days. Sometimes a compromise will be offered, or an idea built upon, if the sender just has the basis for a piece.

If your idea gets approved, you have confirmed your permission for dot dot dash to use the agreed upon content on the site, and to meet any given deadlines.

Work isn’t limited to a region, and we encourage people worldwide to take part.

For written pieces: you will be assigned a fair deadline, and a suggested word count. The word count isn’t strict, so if you want to write beyond it, that’s fine. You’re welcome to include images and links offsite. Written pieces can be sent as is, pasted in an e-mail, or formatted in a document and then sent. ddd can make accompanying graphics for social media/thumbnails, unless you say otherwise :-)

For photographs/interviews: If we give the go ahead, you can cc us into an accreditation request. We will send you an advised template for e-mailing an artist’s PR/management. If we approve, but you need help finding any relevant e-mails, we will try to help. We can also e-mail on your behalf, if preferred.

For photographs: The photographs should be e-mailed to us - at the latest - 4 days after the show happening, preferably via wetransfer. They can be edited or unedited, but please specify if the content needs editing. They should always be your own work.

For interviews: The interview can either be recorded (audio or video) or transcribed. Alternatively, we can transcribe, if the individual wants the interview to be a written piece. Deadlines are looser for interviews, but we generally ask for any files within 2 weeks of the interview being conducted. Videos will be hosted on our YouTube channel, audio will be hosted on Soundcloud. If any professional photographs are taken during the interview, the same rules in the condition above - with the exception of the deadline - apply.
